-This is article is a study detailing the risk factors that lead to a woman being abused. It also discusses how many women were treated and what the injuries were.

-I will use the information from this article to explain how prevalent this crime is. I will also use it to give the facts and statistics of this crime.

*Connelly, Clare and Cavanagh, Kate. “Domestic Abuse, Civil Protection Orders and the ‘New

Criminologies ‘: is There Any Value in Engaging with the Law?” Feminist Legal Studies 16.1

(2007): 259-287.

-This article is explaining civil protection orders and how they can help women who are victim of domestic abuse.

-I will use this article to explain how this could be a way to fix the system. This article will also help me further show the ineffective police responses to domestic abuse.

*Kmietomicz, Zosia. “More Vigilance Needed to Tackle Domestic Abuse.” British Medical Journal 15.12

(2007): 1289.

-This article explains how doctors need to be more vigilant in looking for signs of domestic abuse.

-I will use this article to explain another solution to the problem. The solution is getting doctors to take a more active role in helping with the war of domestic violence.

*Danis, Fran S. “Domesitc Violence and Social Work Education: What Do We Know, What Do We Need To Know?” Journal of Social Work Education 39.2 (2003): 215-223.

-This article explains how the lack of education about domestic violence issues effects social workers.

-I will use this article to show that if social workers were better educated on the issue of domestic violence they could be more able to help the victims. If they were more educated they could help end the war of domestic violence.

*Ramsay, Jean, et al. “Should Health Professionals Screen Women for Domestic Violence?” British

Medical Journal 325 (2002): 314-317

-This article is a research study with information from patients and doctors on their thoughts of the procedure of screening for domestic violence.

-I will use this article to further justify one solution to the problem of war on domestic violence. It will show women’s personal thoughts on the situation.

Violence 14.8 (1999):839-870.

-This is an article explaining how the women are not the only victims of domestic violence and that their children can suffer just as much.

-I will use this article to help iterate that the war on domestic violence needs attention because innocent children are becoming victims as well. Domestic violence has gone too far.

*Johnson, Ida M. “Victim’s perceptions of Police Response to Domestic Violence Incidents.” Journal of

Criminal Justice 35.5 (2007): 498-510.

-This article is based on a research study that emphasized on how women who were victims of domestic violence perceived the police responses.

-I will use this article to detail another issue that needs attention in order to improve the problem of domestic violence. Although there are some laws to help with police responses, many women are still unsatisfied.

*Defending Our Lives. Dir. Margaret Lazarus, Renner Wunderlich. 1997. Videocassette. Cambridge

Documentary Films.

-This video was a collection of interviews with women who are in prison because they killed their partner because that was the only way to get away from the abuse. These women all recount the horrific experiences that they had in these relationships.

-I will use the information from this video to highlight the ways the system is flawed in dealing with the way on domestic violence. Because all of this information is from women’s personal experiences it will be very affective.

*Dorian, Patty. “So Who’s Left?” Off Our Backs 31.9 (2001): 24.

-This article discusses all the problems with battered women shelters today.

- I will use this article to explain the need to fix the system of shelters to help the victims more. Having a safe place to stay is very helpful for these women so the system should be fixed.

Research Plan

For my proposal paper I am going to write a paper proposing that the ways of helping women who are victims of domestic abuse need to be improved. I have done a sufficient amount of research on this topic already so I have the main points of my paper decided. My main points will be the following:

- Discussing the damage domestic abuse does to everyone involved, even by standers such as children.

· Statistics of the victims (The New England Journal of Medicine)

· Psychological evaluations of victims. (The New England Journal of Medicine)

- How doctors need to be educated better on how to spot and deal with domestically abused women.

· What the doctors are doing now.

· What they should do to make it better for the women. (British Medical Journal)

- How to improve the laws that deal with domestic abuse.

· The loop holes in the current laws. (Feminist Legal Studies)

· How they should be fixed to improve them. (Feminist Legal Studies)

- How to educate the social workers who deal with these women, better.

· How social workers are involved with these victims, what role they play.

· How they could be better educated, what do they need to be taught? (Journal of Social Work Education)

- How to insure that the police officers do a better job with dealing with domestic abuse cases.

· How cases like these are handled now. (Journal of Criminal Justice)

· How they need to change the way they pursue the case. (Journal of Criminal Justice)

- Proposing to build more safe shelters for women who are victims of domestic abuse.

· How many shelters exist now and how they help. (Defending Our Lives)

· How many should exist to be affective. (Defending Our Lives)

In-Class Essay #3

I have chosen to write my paper about a proposal that would help domestically abused women. Right now, when a woman is abused finding help can be very difficult. A lot of the times police to not respond in a way they should, doctors in hospitals ignore the signs, and there are not very many shelters for abused women to seek refuge in.
This topic is a good fit for me because once I graduate I want to go out into the community and help people who are struggling either physically or mentally and this topic will help explore on aspect of my future career. Also I chose to write my paper on this topic because I feel that it is very important to society to be aware of these issues. I feel that I can bring a different look upon these issues because I am younger than most of the people who have previously researched and written about them.
I have never experienced or known anyone personally who has experienced domestic abuse but I feel that I have seen and heard enough from various news reports and personal testimony from a few women to understand how awful the protection system for these women is. I want to make sure that anyone who reads my paper can see how awful it is and realize that something serious needs to be done to help these women. They do not deserve this kind of treatment and if they are receiving it, society should do everything they can to protect them from it.

Analysis of "Common Sense"

I have always heard about the common sense pamphlets that were circulating during the revolution, in history classes throughout the years but I have never been interested in reading them. Now that I had to read them I am glad I did. The words that Thomas Paine had to say were very motivating and interesting. While reading them I wanted to get up and do something to help shape the government into a better one for today’s world. I didn’t understand all of it because it was written in old English but I understood enough of it because he wrote it in a way that the common person of that day would be able to understand. He brings up some very good points about how absurd it is to think the king to be wiser then all other people, how there were no kings according to the early scripture, and how God disproves of having kings and calls having kings a sin of the Jews.

It is very absurd to think that a man, as equal as everyone else, could be any wiser then a man who owns a farm or works in a carpentry shop. God made all man equal according to the scriptures and man himself has no right to declare him more powerful then all other men. The king is shut off from the world and has no idea how things are so he/she has no knowledge of what should be done which is what complicates the whole thing. Although this is one fact against kingdoms, absurdity is not the only valid one.

According to early scriptures there were no kings around. In fact there were no kings for 3000 years, until the Jews requested one, and everything ran smoothly. Having no kings meant no wars; according to Thomas Paine “it is the pride of the king that throws mankind into confusion”, causing wars. In fact Holland had no king around this time era and they had enjoyed more peace than any other monarchial government in Europe in that past century, according to Thomas Paine.

Not only does it not mention having kings in the early scriptures but it is mentioned that having kings is a sin of the Jews and that God highly disproves of the matter. Scripture says that “government which is so impiously prerogative of Heaven”. Thomas Paine mentions that kings were first introduced to the world by Heathens. “It was the most prosperous invention the Devil ever set on foot for the promotion of idolatry. They started out paying great respect to their dead kings and it evolved from there into worshiping the living kings.

Thomas Paine uses all of these facts to attack his enemies. He put down their way of government in every way he knew how and in turn he got a lot of support from the colonists. The things he mentions in his pamphlets are not only riveting to the colonists but they are true which is what hurt the British government’s chances the most.

Spring Break 2008

For spring break all I did was go home. Fort Wayne, Indiana is were I call home. While I was there I worked at KFC to make a few extra bucks, hung out with my boyfriend, hung out with my brother, hung out with my friend Lauren who got her wisdom teeth taken out at the beginning of break, and had the flu one of the days of break. My break was not all that exciting but there were a few days that were pretty fun. One day during break my boyfriend and I went to the inside go-cart place in Fort Wayne and raced each other. We were the only two there because it was the middle of the day on a school day so it was more fun then usual. After that we went to a movie and then went to the mall. On Friday my parents, my boyfriend, and I went to Coney Island, a very old and famous coney dog restaurant in Fort Wayne. They serve Coke in glass bottles which is pretty neat to be able to find some place that still does that. The rest of the days I worked and just hung out and did whatever seemed entertaining at the moment.

Anti-Flag an Antiestablishment Band?

Ever since the war in Iraq started in 2001 there have been many singer/songwriters and bands that have performed songs defy the war efforts such as Billy Bragg, Merle Haggard, Nellie McKay, and the band Anti-Flag (Pareles 1). Anti-Flag as caught the most scrutiny about it, being called an antiestablishment band in an article in The New York Times published on November 26, 2001. Anti-Flag is not an antiestablishment band because according to the dictionary antiestablishment is “opposed to or working against the existing power structure or mores, as of society or government” (dictionary.com). The lyrics of Anti-Flag’s songs are not to be mistaken as going against the government; they are simply talking about bringing peace to the world.
In a live performance Anti-Flag took a short break from their songs after “Bring Out Your Dead” to talk about this article in which they were said to be an antiestablishment band. Justin Sane the lead singer of the band had a few thoughts about the article. “One of the things that I think to myself, what’s so wrong and what’s so antiestablishment with the idea of wanting peace, why is that anti-establishment? Why is wanting to be told the truth antiestablishment? These aren’t antiestablishment ideas; these are pro-fucking-peace ideas!”(Justin Sane) The ideas of Anti-Flag are not to get people to go against the government or start an upheaval but they are trying to get people to think about bringing more peace to this nation instead of, in the words of one of their songs “A New Kind of Army”, killing mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, common human beings, not savages but people, like you, like me!
In the article in which Anti-Flag is said to be an antiestablishment band a man is interviewed by the name of Mr. Carpe. He says that he used to worship antiestablishment punk-rock groups like Anti-Flag and he states, “It’s cool what they’re saying, but this is not Vietnam at all. This is terrorism” (Chen 1). No matter what the war is over, innocent people are being killed so peace ideas like those of Anti-Flag should not be seen as antiestablishment ideas. Now that the war has gone on for so long the original heroic feelings people were having, have died off and now they just want the war to end. They are scared of going to war and dying as soon as they set foot in the country. “Before I was thinking that it would be good for my resume, because anywhere you go, you say, ‘I was in the Army,’ they give you a job easily,” said Mr. Polanco who was interviewed in the article, “But now it’s scary. Everyone I see, they are scared. They don’t want to go. My family doesn’t want me to go” (Chen 2).
This current war has taken the lives of many soldiers and innocent civilians. To date according to globalsercurity.org and antiwar.com the number of American casualties is totaled to be 28,773 (Pike) and the total Iraqi civilian deaths is 1,173,743 (Casualties). These numbers may be overwhelming but they are not the only numbers to be considered in this war. According to the CBO (Congressional Budget Office) Operation Iraqi Freedom has cost $93.7 billion. If there was no war that money could have gone towards something more useful such as getting the government out of debt or helping those less fortunate. The government acts like the innocent lives being lost and the tremendous amounts of money being spent mean nothing. There is a line in an Anti-Flag song entitled “One Trillion Dollars” that satirizes this situation. It goes, “one trillion dollars what a bullshit useless thing”. They are trying to say with this war the government is showing plain old greed when they could take the “peace” route and things could be much better.
Anti-Flag should not be considered an antiestablishment band because all they are doing is trying to convey peace ideas to the nation. This world could be a more enjoyable place all around if we as a whole society would try to go towards the pro-peace ideas. In the words of an Anti-Flag song, A New Kind of Army, “We’re looking to start a new army, (that’s) too smart to fight, too smart to die. We’re looking to start a new army, (that’s) too smart to fight, too smart to kill”(A New Kind of Army). Anyone interested in the position?

Anda's Comic Version Comparison

The comic book version of Anda’s game was better in my opinion then the story. The story line in both versions was the same although the comic book version did a little bit better job of explaining some of the things that I thought were unclear in the story version. The pictures in the comic book version helped too because I was able to see exactly what was going on and not have to imagine the scenes while I was reading. The pictures in the comic showed me exactly what the characters were suppose to be represented as and the way they looked in the comic was completely different from how I thought they would look.

In the comic version the whole situation with the factories, the gold, and the missions for the money was better explained so I think that, that made me enjoy the story more this time than I did when I read the story version. When I read the story version I was completely confused so it took me a while to read it because I had to keep re-reading the pages. Also the characters were portrayed in a complete different way then I imagined them to be. I thought of them as being spandex wearing super hero people but they were portrayed more as a Japanese samari fighter.

I really enjoyed reading the comic book version of Anda’s game because I enjoyed the story line and I also was able to better understand what the whole game was about and how everyone interpreted the game.

Review of "Anda's Game"

When I first starting reading Anda’s I was so lost; all the talk about “the game” was confusing. But as I continued to read I realized that “the game” was an online game that Anda played with other people all over the world. Anda seemed to really enjoy the game and how good she was at it. The game in which Anda plays in, almost seems as though it becomes real life for a bit there in the story because it has taken over Anda’s life so much. This story shows how video games can change people for worse and even for the better. It also helps explain why some kids turn to video games in the first place.

In the real world Anda wasn’t really good at anything and she didn’t really have any friends which was completely the opposite in the game. In the game Anda “kicked arse” and she had many friends; she even mentions that the game is where her friends are at. Because she lives her life, per say, through the game she stops taking care of herself in the real world. She eats lots of candy and gets little exercise causing her to get diabetes, which shows that the game had changed her for the worst. Then when she finds out about the girls in the sweat shops in Mexico she feels as if she needs to do something. When Lucy and Anda form together to help Raymond get the girls of the factories to walk out, this shows how the game has changed her for the better.
I feel as if this story, although it is fiction, really conveys what is truly going on in today’s world. The story shows us how easy it is to get sucked into the fantasy world to forget our problems in the real world. It also shows how hard it is at first to turn a life around but that it can be done with hard work and determination. Whether in video games or online chat rooms many people find a way out of the real world that they do not feel comfortable or happy in.

Review of Jenn Heldt's Blog

Jenn Heldt’s post about her review of an amateur blog was one of my favorite posts of hers. She choose to do her review on a blog site that I feel really would attract college students because of the humorous rewrites of previous professional articles. She did a fine job of drawing me in with details about what is typically posted on the site. I like the way she explained how the site works with all the links and what everything means. These details would help an interested reader be able to easily navigate the new site. Putting the fact in the review about how popular the site is, is also a helpful attention getter because a reader of her review might notice that and want to check the site out just because they feel like they might be more in the know if they did.

In future essays though, she might want to stay away from writing in conclusion in the first sentence of the actual conclusion. If she wraps up her ideas well enough a reader will be able to understand that what they are reading is the conclusion without the “in conclusion” to hint them towards that assumption. Another thing she might want to think about doing is making sure she puts a link up of the site she is doing a review about. Her review really made me want to check out the site but there was no link on her page to direct me to the site. Doing this could also draw in more readers.

After reading Jenn’s review of Gawker I was pretty much impressed. Her use of details and descriptions really persuaded me to want to view the site to check it out for myself because I like reading things of that nature. In future papers I would definitely keep up the good use of detail because with that a reader will never get lost or confused so as long as you keep it interested you won’t lose the reader.

What I am Doing At Purdue

Okay so when I came to college, I thought that I had everything figured out. I had participated in an internship program my senior year of high school. When I applied I originally wanted a position in a Social Service agency but couldn’t work it around my schedule so I settled for a physical therapy office. I really enjoyed that position and so I took the event that happened as a sign that I was not suppose to work as a social worked but as a physical therapist. Throwing away everything that I previously thought I was going to do with my life, I came to Purdue as a Movement and Sports Science major. My first semester I was enrolled in Human Anatomy and Physiology which was a class that kicked my ass. No matter how much studying I did I could not comprehend what was going on. So I thought back to my previous desired profession and looked at the reasons I had for wanting to do that and compared them to the reasons I had for wanted to be a physical therapist and ended up realizing that I had more reasons for wanting to become a social worker than I had for wanting to become a physical therapist. With that and the fact that I was failing the first of many science classes I would have to take I changed my major to Youth, Adult, and Family Services.

I don’t know why I had ever doubted that, that was what I was supposed to do. With this degree I want to become a social worker who works with mentally and physically disabled people. I have a cousin who is mentally disabled and he is the one person on that side of the family that I connect with. He can not talk to me but he has ways of showing me he understands and he connects with me as well. Also when I was in elementary school I volunteered to help the special needs class with gym class. Those kids in that class touched my heart like no one had ever touched my heart before and to this day I have never had anyone touch it like they did. Working with mentally disabled kids and adults would be so rewarding for me and no matter what I will get paid for the job it will be worth it just to be working in a career that I find totally rewarded and that I enjoy doing.

"Life With Down syndrome" Review

It seems that many people believe that if a family has a Down syndrome child then that family has a hard time leading a normal family life. Well I found a site that can prove all those preconceived thoughts wrong. In fact, it may even show that a family with a Down syndrome child may even be more special then one without a Down syndrome child. The author of the blog describes himself like any other man. He starts off saying that he lives in Pennsylvania, has four children and a lovely wife, but the catch is that one of those children, three year old Amanda, happens to have Down syndrome. This father, who owns his own business in advertising, has started a blog in which he pretty much just writes about his family and the things they do and the important things that happen in their lives. The blog is entitled “Down Syndrome Life” and just describes his family life with a Down syndrome child. This father is very credible in this subject because of the fact that he and his family have to live everyday with a Down syndrome child and experience all the good and bad moments that go along with that. The blog is very well organized and is made to look very nice and it does a wonderful good job of using pathos to appeal to ones emotions through his entries, the pictures of his children, and the video he has posted on the site.
The site itself has a black background with a light color used for the writing, making it very easy to read, and all of the links and information are very well organized and easy to find. The father has put pictures of all of his children, not just the child with the Down syndrome, which shows that he has the same amount of love for all of his children. He has also posted a video that stays at the bottom of the blog no matter what page you are on. This video is about a young man who has Down syndrome. He works at a grocery store and when told by a corporate manager that all of the employees needed to do a little extra to show appreciation to the customers, he went above and beyond the expected. This young man went home and started to find quotes that inspired him and every day with the help from his father he would print many copies of one of the quotes and put them in the bags once he was finished bagging the groceries. Soon every customer wanted to get their groceries bagged by this young man no matter how long they had to wait in line, just so that could receive his very inspirational quotes of the day. This video shows that Down syndrome children and young adults can add extra special assets to relationships.
The blog entries are the most important part of being able to realize what it is really like for a family with a Down syndrome child. Reading them makes you see their life in a whole different way. In a few of the entries he does mention how sometimes it can be difficult with a young child who has Down syndrome because that child does develop much slower than non-affected children, but for the most part his entries show that his life is not much different from any other family’s life. In fact some of them may actually show that the little girl of his who has Down syndrome adds a little something special to his life that is not present in other families.
This site appeals greatly to one’s emotions showing that Down syndrome children are just as special as God’s other gifts to earth. Down syndrome children are so full of life and love. Every person a Down syndrome child meets will fall in love with him/her if they allow themselves because of all the love a Down syndrome child is dying to give to the world. I have been around many children in my life and I would have to say that the one’s that I fell in love with the most were children with Down syndrome. If you have never been touched by the love of a Down syndrome child then I could see how you might feel that they would be a great burden to a family, but just by looking at this blog you can see the positive impact Amanda has had on her family. The father’s username is BStrong, because if you stay strong then with all the love a Down syndrome child has to give a person will be able to see around the syndrome and allow themselves to be overtaken by that great love.

Essay #2

When I go to write a paper I have all these great ideas in my head that remind me of something a professional writer would write about, but when I go to put these ideas down it doesn’t end up sounding like I had originally pictured it. I just can’t get my ideas to flow together. I think that is the biggest barrier to public discourse that many people including me have. I think we also have trouble with making our pieces of writing sound professional because many of us have also gotten into the habit of typing in slang because of things like AIM and text messages. This is also something that can create a barrier of public discourse for many people. Along with these barriers there is also one more. Blogging, I feel, has hindered some individual’s ability to write formally. When they are creating a blog post they are just writing down what is in their head and not really thinking about how professional it sounds which is fine but it still is a barrier to professional writing. Being a college student in its self can also be somewhat of a barrier.

In college it may be hard to even be close to writing professionally because teachers sometimes put so many restrictions on assignments that make it hard for the student to get out his/her ideas the way they want to. Also in college you are not allowed to just write about whatever you want to unless you are writing just for fun. This can limit the ability to grow to a professional writer because college students get into the habit of these restrictions and then they find it hard to break away from them.

For me, although I enjoy writing essays, especially when it is something I am interested in, I do not see myself continuing writing, at least for other people then myself to see, after I graduate from college. I just don’t feel that I could ever make it to the level that the great American professional writers of these days are at. Informal writing will be just fine for me in the future because all I need to do is get my thoughts and ideas down on paper and not need to show them to anyone to be satisfied. There is a study that shows if people write for twenty minutes a week, and I mean just write, the piece doesn’t have to have any professional construction at all, then the mental and physical health of the individual writer will improve.

Fake Face to the World

The word “surviving” has changed meanings slightly over the years. In today’s world surviving doesn’t just deal with having food, clothing, and shelter, but another factor has been added. To survive you must be accepted into the “crowd” which isn’t as easy as it sounds. People today judge you from the first time they meet you and it usually isn’t by your personality. Today people judge you on how you dress and if you are “pretty” enough. So to be able to fit in this world of conceited humans, people have stopped being themselves and started living a lie. It is all about who has the latest fashion and who hides their true beauty the best by depending on their external beauty. People use this tactic of personal appearance appeal to gain friends, jobs, connections, and even to help with the dating realm. If you have to put on a face in front of your friends then it is not a true friendship because the other person really has no idea who you are. Today people will go to all measures to improve their personal appearance putting on a fake face to the world, just to be able to fit into the “crowd” of malicious, judging individuals.
To keep up the “perfect” personal appearance there are no lengths an individual won’t go to. I have known people to spend two thousand dollars on a purse or two hundred dollars on a new hair style and mind you these aren’t movie stars, these people are just ordinary people like you and I. The sad thing with this is that some people do not realize that they are doing it to fit in because they have been “brainwashed” into thinking that this is just the way things are. Either consciously or unconsciously they are doing it to be apart of the crowd. For some people this is how they were raised so they do not know the difference.
Spending lots of money on clothing, shoes, or accessories, spending hours at unnecessary nail and hair appointments, and even spending un-needed time putting on a “fake” face and smile with make-up are just some of the ways people have resorted to, to follow the crowd and be welcomed in. If only these people could understand that being happy in this world is as simple as having someone appreciates who you are without having to put on a face to have people like you.
It may seem like I am stereo-typing here saying that people who spend all this time and money on these things are all fake and hide their true selves, but that is not true. I am not saying that everyone who spends lots of money is someone who doesn’t show their true face, but the majority of people are. One of my best friends is someone who spends lots of money on things but it does not show in her personality and she is so surreal about everything.
I may be all wrong about all of this, maybe people who do live this lifestyle are truly happy but to me it seems that there is no way they could be because they are hiding the personality that makes them think the way they think and operate the way they do. If only the human race didn’t call for people to put on “a fake face to the world” to feel accepted. Maybe one day people will realize that going to the endless measures they do to feel accepted are not needed and that all is truly needed is not accept people for their personality and view of life.

Alyssa's Face to the World

When I walked into Alyssa’s room I got a strong sense of chic. Everything including decorations and accessories was elegant and fashionable. She also owned many popular and fashionable perfumes to add to my assumption of her being chic. Now on to her room, her bedroom was organized and neat and a nice scent to it suggesting that she keeps things picked up and cleaned on a regular bases. The room was decorated with many colorful items suggesting that her personality is very colorful as well. Along with all of the many decorations she has in her room, she had many pictures of her friends and family showing that she is close to the people that love her. Also with her many pictures and other colorful decorations, she had many things representing her sorority, alpha phi, and how involved in it she is. She seems to be very into a social events and being with others but I also get a very serious vibe from her work station that shows that she is into getting through school with good marks and being able to get a good job once school is over.
From just reviewing Alyssa’s life through her room, one of her many faces to the world; I have found that Alyssa is an extremely outgoing girl who is a great friend to everyone and very into sisterhood and sticking together. She also seems to have a colorful personality which makes her likable to everyone who she comes across in her life.

My room is one of the main ways that I reveal myself to the world, although not the whole world sees it of course. My room is my space to display everything that is important to me. I have my artwork on display, memorabilia from various sports games that I have participated in, and various items from the many concerts and events that I have attended. It also has just about anything that I have ever been given by someone else because when I am given a gift no matter if I like it or not I keep it because I always feel bad getting rid of it, but even if I don’t like it to begin with, I usually find some creative way to use it as decoration in my room showing my artistic, imaginative side.
All of these things that I have on display in my room show some side of my personality and I believe that with everything I have in my room all sides to me are revealed in my room. I have many sports trophies and medals in my room showing that I am very athletic and enjoy good competition. Showing off all of my artwork in my room shows one that I am confident in my abilities as an artist and I am proud of the pieces that I create. My various collections that I have acquired from concerts and such show off that I am not “prejudice” against any style of music because I have things from all kinds of concerts from country to rap to heavy metal to even Irish punk rock! One of the things I have abundance in my room of is pictures of my friends and family. Every shelf, dresser, or table in my room has pictures of my friends on them. I even have pictures posted on my walls. My friends and family mean everything to me. Without them I would not be who I am today.
When I take someone in my room whom has never been in there before they spend a good amount of time going through my room looking at all the pictures and artwork I have on display. This makes me feel good because the faces I present to the world are interesting to others and make an impact on them.
